Migration Flow

A practical migration plan from ConvertFlow to Bento

This guide follows a simple sequence: export cleanly, map data correctly, then validate before cutover. No generic product pitch, just the steps your team needs.

1Export from ConvertFlow
2Transfer and map in Bento
3Validate and launch
Stage 1

Export checklist

  1. 1Export contacts from ConvertFlow

Log in to ConvertFlow, go to the contacts area, filter to the people you want to migrate, and use the export option to download a CSV file.

  2. 2Export key segments and tags

From your contacts or segments view, export CSVs for important audiences like customers, leads, and newsletter subscribers.

  3. 3Capture form and CTA settings

Review your main popups, forms, and landing pages in ConvertFlow and note the fields, triggers, and targeting rules you rely on.

  4. 4Clean your contact data

Remove obvious test contacts and old bounced addresses from your CSVs before import, or mark them clearly so they are not emailed.

  5. 5Import contacts into Bento

In Bento, create any custom fields you need, upload your CSVs, and map columns to fields, tags, and segments.

Validate and cut over

Treat cutover like launch QA. Validate your highest-risk paths first, then move sending traffic.

Send a seed-list test from Bento and verify rendering, links, and tracking.
Compare list and segment counts against ConvertFlow before your first live send.
Rebuild high-value automations first, then test each trigger path before cutover.
Keep ConvertFlow running for a short overlap while you monitor deliverability in Bento.

ConvertFlowBento
  • CTAForm or onsite capture

ConvertFlow CTAs are the popups and forms that collect leads on your site.

  • FunnelAutomation plus forms

A series of steps that guide visitors from opt in to a goal, rebuilt as Bento automations and broadcasts.

  • BroadcastBroadcast

One-time messages sent to a group of people. In Bento these are email campaigns.

  • WorkflowAutomation

Automated actions based on triggers and rules, such as follow up after a form submit.

  • Segment or AudienceSegment or Tag

Groups of people defined by behavior or attributes that you can target in Bento.

  • Custom FieldField

Extra data stored on a person record, such as plan, interests, or lifecycle stage.

Tips

  • Export contacts and any suppression data from ConvertFlow before you change live CTAs.
  • Start by rebuilding one or two high intent funnels in Bento before migrating everything.
  • Keep ConvertFlow running during the overlap so you do not miss leads while you test Bento.
  • Use Bento's free email validation on import to protect deliverability.

Watchouts

  • On-site campaigns, CTAs, and page designs do not transfer automatically and must be rebuilt in Bento or another page tool.
  • Automation logic based on ConvertFlow's on-site triggers will need to be rethought using Bento events and segments.
  • Email and event history from ConvertFlow does not migrate, so reporting starts fresh in Bento.
