Go to ActiveCampaign.com and log in. Navigate to Contacts from the main menu.

Export All Contacts
From the Contacts overview, open the top-right ellipsis menu and choose Export. Select the fields you need, then download the completed CSV from Contacts > Exports.
TipDownload links expire after seven days, and contact notes are not included.

If you use multiple lists, export each list separately. Go to Lists, select a list, and use the export option.

Go to Automations and review each active automation. Document triggers, conditions, wait times, and actions.

Questions about leaving ActiveCampaign.

Will I lose my ActiveCampaign contact data and automations?

ActiveCampaign exports contacts to CSV with standard fields and can include custom fields, tags, lead scores, and deal scores. Contact notes are excluded. Automations need to be documented, rebuilt, and tested because ActiveCampaign share links only import into another ActiveCampaign account.

Is Bento's automation as powerful as ActiveCampaign?

The platforms have different strengths. ActiveCampaign is a strong fit for sales workflows, predictive features, and cross-channel orchestration. Bento is a strong fit for event-driven email automation tied to custom customer and product data. Test one important workflow in both before deciding.

Will I save money switching from ActiveCampaign?

It depends on your contact count, Bento Active User count, ActiveCampaign tier, required add-ons, users, and send volume. Compare a current ActiveCampaign quote with Bento's published tiers and include migration labor. Do not rely on a generic savings percentage.

Will switching hurt my email deliverability?

No provider can guarantee inbox placement after a switch. ActiveCampaign and Bento both support sending-domain authentication. Preserve suppressions, configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, warm the new sending stream with engaged recipients, and compare matched cohorts while monitoring bounces and complaints.

How long does an ActiveCampaign migration take?

The timeline depends on contacts, automations, CRM pipelines, forms, templates, integrations, domains, channels, and reporting needs. Keep ActiveCampaign available during validation, then move one business-critical journey at a time with clear sender ownership.

Will there be downtime?
