Three things to knock out before you start building anything in Bento. Most people finish all three in under 30 minutes.
Bento's Speedrun / Onboarding Guide covers these same steps tailored to your platform.
1 - Add yourself as an author
Go to Email > Authors and add yourself. This is the "from" identity on your emails.
Make sure you use the domain you actually want to send from. Bento generates your DNS records based on this email's domain.
2 - Set up your DNS
Follow the DNS setup guide. Bento also has provider-specific guides for Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, and more.

3 - Connect your website or app
Use Bento's onboarding AI in the dashboard. It'll walk you through the steps for your specific platform. The Speedrun guide also has platform-specific checklists.
A basic connection is enough for now; we cover deeper integration patterns later.
When to move on
- At least one author in Email > Authors
- DNS records showing green checkmarks in Settings > DNS
- Basic platform connection in place (or you know which path you're taking)
