Branching

Also known as: Workflow Branching, Path Branching

Branching is when an automation splits into different paths based on a person's data or actions. It sends people into different email flows so messages feel more relevant.

Branching lets you send people down different paths inside an email automation. You can split based on what they clicked, what they bought, or who they are. Each branch gives you a clear lane for a specific type of person. That makes your messages easier to plan and easier to measure.

This matters because not everyone should get the same follow up. Engaged subscribers can move to faster or deeper sequences. Cold or new subscribers can get more education or simple offers. Branching keeps your list healthy and stops you from blasting everyone with the same thing.

A simple way to start is with a single yes or no split. For example, branch people who opened your last campaign into one follow up and send a softer reminder to people who did not. As you learn more, you can add extra branches for high value customers or key product interests.
