Also known as: RPE
Revenue Per Email Sent (RPE) tells you how much money you make on average from each email you send. You find it by dividing the money from a campaign by the number of emails sent.
Revenue Per Email Sent is a simple way to see how much money each email brings in. You take the total revenue from an email campaign and divide it by the number of emails sent. If you made $5,000 from 10,000 emails, each email made you fifty cents on average.
This metric helps you move past vanity stats like opens or clicks. It shows if your emails actually drive sales and profit. You can compare different campaigns, subject lines, or audiences to see which ones earn more per send.
To improve Revenue Per Email Sent, focus on sending fewer but more targeted emails. Clean your list, send to people who still engage, and match offers to what they care about. A smaller active segment with strong offers often brings in more money than a big tired list.
A campaign is a planned set of emails that work together toward one clear goal. Each email supports the same outcome and is sent to a defined audience over a set period.

These emails show what they left behind and usually include a direct link back to their cart. Most businesses send a series of 2-3 reminders over a few days, sometimes sweetening the deal with a discount or free shipping offer.
Learn more →Email appending is when you use a third party to add email addresses to your existing customer records based on other details like name or postal address. It is risky because these people did not ask to hear from you, which often leads to spam complaints and poor deliverability.
