Migration Flow
A practical migration plan from Pabbly to Bento
This guide follows a simple sequence: export cleanly, map data correctly, then validate before cutover. No generic product pitch, just the steps your team needs.
Stage 1
Export checklist
- 1Review your lists and data in Pabbly
Log in to your Pabbly Email Marketing account, open the Email Marketing app, and review your lists, segments, and custom fields so you know what needs to move.
- 2Export active subscribers as CSV
From the subscribers or lists section, choose each list you want to migrate and use the export option to download contacts as CSV files including tags and custom fields.
- 3Export unsubscribed and bounced contacts
Filter subscribers by status such as unsubscribed, bounced, or complaint and export those contacts to a separate CSV for your suppression list.
- 4Capture automation workflows and email content
Open your Pabbly automations or autoresponders, note triggers, timing, and logic, and copy any email content or HTML you want to reuse in Bento.
- 5Export any reports you want to keep
If you rely on historical campaign performance, download key reports from Pabbly before you downgrade or close the account.
Stage 2
Data portability map
Know in advance what imports directly and what may require a rebuild.
Stage 3
Validate and cut over
Treat cutover like launch QA. Validate your highest-risk paths first, then move sending traffic.

- SubscriberPerson
An individual contact in your database with an email address.
- ListTag or segment
Bento uses flexible tags and segments instead of rigid lists.
- SegmentSegment
Dynamic groups of people based on filters or behavior.
- Automation or autoresponderSequence or automation
A series of emails sent automatically when someone meets certain conditions.
- CampaignBroadcast
A one time email send to a chosen audience.
- Custom fieldField
Additional data stored on each person such as plan, source, or preferences.
Tips
- Export one clean master CSV per list from Pabbly and keep a backup copy before you start importing into Bento.
- Decide how Pabbly lists will map to Bento tags and segments so you avoid recreating the same structure twice.
- Rebuild your most important welcome and purchase related automations first before migrating long tail campaigns.
- Send test emails to yourself from Bento before fully cutting over sending from Pabbly.
Watchouts
- Automations and journeys from Pabbly do not migrate automatically and need to be rebuilt inside Bento.
- Email history such as past opens and clicks stays in Pabbly so download any reports you need before closing the account.
- Make sure you import unsubscribed and bounced contacts into Bento's suppression list so you stay compliant.
