Migration Flow

A practical migration plan from Encharge to Bento

This guide follows a simple sequence: export cleanly, map data correctly, then validate before cutover. No generic product pitch, just the steps your team needs.

1Export from Encharge
2Transfer and map in Bento
3Validate and launch

Stage 1

Export checklist

  1. 1Export all people from Encharge

Go to your People page at app.encharge.io/segments, keep the All people segment selected, click the Export All button, and confirm to start a full export.

  2. 2Export important segments

Switch the segment selector on the People page to each key segment you want to keep, then use the same Export All button to export just that segment.

  3. 3Export selected cohorts

Use the checkboxes on the left side of the People table to select specific people or use the top left checkbox to select all visible people, then export that selection.

  4. 4Download export emails

Wait for the export email from Encharge Support and download the CSV attachment once each export job is finished.

  5. 5Review and clean CSV files

Open each CSV file and review columns like email, tags, and person fields so you can map them cleanly into Bento and remove clearly invalid or bounced addresses.

Stage 3

Validate and cut over

Treat cutover like launch QA. Validate your highest-risk paths first, then move sending traffic.

Send a seed-list test from Bento and verify rendering, links, and tracking.
Compare list and segment counts against Encharge before your first live send.
Rebuild high-value automations first, then test each trigger path before cutover.
Keep Encharge running for a short overlap while you monitor deliverability in Bento.

Tips

  • Rebuild your most important flows like trial onboarding and upgrade nudges first in Bento.
  • Keep Encharge running in parallel for a short time while you test Bento sends.
  • Use Bento tags to mirror your high value Encharge segments so reporting stays familiar.

Watchouts

  • Encharge exports do not include activity or email event history so reporting will start fresh in Bento.
  • Flows and broadcasts cannot be imported automatically and must be rebuilt in Bento.
  • Large exports can take time to generate so request them before scheduling your first Bento campaigns.
