Connect SMS and WhatsApp to Bento.

How it works.

You connect your SMS or WhatsApp provider to an inbox in Bento Chat. Messages to your number land in that inbox, and your team replies from Bento.

Flows can send texts with a Send SMS action. Most customers use this for conversations like support and sales, not SMS broadcasts.

Set it up in four steps.

   Open Bento Chat

   Log into Bento and go to Bento Chat. A web inbox is created for you automatically.

   Add an SMS or WhatsApp inbox

   Click Add New Inbox, choose SMS or WhatsApp, pick your provider, and enter its API keys. Assign the agents who should receive the chats.

   Point Twilio at Bento

   In the Twilio Console, open Phone Numbers, then Active Numbers, select your messaging number, and set this webhook URL. For other providers, contact Bento support.

   Send a test message

   Text your configured number, check the inbox for the message, and reply to confirm two-way messaging works.
