Bento Google Tag Manager Integration

Overview
The Google Tag Manager integration deploys the Bento tracking script through GTM, so page views are tracked and visitors are identified in Bento without editing your site's code.
Requirements
- An approved Bento account
- A Google Tag Manager account
- The Bento tracking script - for user tracking on the website
Tracking Script Installation
1
Select your container (website / project).
2
In the left hand side menu you should see
Tags. Click it, then click New.3
Click
Tag Configuration and select Custom HTML.4
Copy the Tracking Script. If it asks you to replace the
site_uuid with your site uuid, do so from the Bento Teams screen.5
Paste the Bento Tracking script into the Custom HTML text field. Double check that it looks the same as what you copied from Bento.
6
Click on
Triggering and choose an appropriate triggering method, all pages if you want it on every page.7
Click
Save and Submit.8
Add a name / description and click
Publish. To verify, visit your site and check that a $page event appears in Bento. How the connection works
Once the tag is published, the tracking script records page views on your site. You should see $page events appear in Bento, which you can use to segment subscribers and trigger automations and flows.
