the Bento growth platform

Why is it necessary to get my Bento account approved?

Bento's got your back when it comes to ensuring a safe and consistent experience on our marketing platform!

As a leading provider in the industry, we take pride in maintaining a high level of email deliverability and ensuring that only legitimate businesses are allowed to use its platform.

One of the ways we do that is by going old school and manually reviewing every single account application that comes our way. That means a real-life human takes a look at your info to make sure you're the real deal and not a spammer or scam artist.

Why do we do this, you might ask?

Well, it's all about keeping the reputation of our network (our IP addresses, mostly) healthy and respected by the ISPs like Gmail and Outlook. We want to make sure that the businesses using our platform are all above-board and playing by the rules.

As a result, this leads to WAY better engagement with your emails.

So, when you're waiting for your account to get approved, just know that we are doing this to make sure your business thrives on our platform.

Once you're in, you can rest easy knowing that you're part of a community of like-minded folks who are all about building their businesses in a safe and supportive space.

To be approved for a Bento account, businesses must meet several criteria.

These include: 1. Privacy policy and terms of service: This policy must be easily accessible on the business's website and comply with relevant data protection laws. 2. A real business domain: Using a business domain instead of a personal email address helps to establish the legitimacy of the business and ensures that the email address is associated with the correct domain name. This can help to reduce the risk of fraud or scams. 3. Social media presence: A social media presence, such as a Facebook or Instagram page, can help to demonstrate that the business is active and engaged with its customers. Additionally, putting LinkedIn page on your site is also way to showcase the trustworthiness of your business. 4. Contact information: Providing contact information, such as a phone number or physical address, can help to establish trust and ensure you are the real business. Additionally, an about us with names of the founders or team is further proof that you're real. 5. Testimonials or evidence of customers: Testimonials or other evidence of existing customers, such as reviews or case studies, can help to demonstrate the legitimacy and quality of the business's products or services. 6. Non-banned categories: You cannot send on our platform, unless given an exemption, if you are in gambling, porn, or any category that would risk issues with our upstream vendors.

By requiring businesses to meet these criteria, we are able to maintain a high level of trust among our customers and ensure that our platform is used only for legitimate and good purposes.

In cases where a new business does not meet all of the criteria, we will reach out and ask you to provide additional proof.

If you're a startup and new to business, don't worry. We'll reach out and talk you through the process to get you approved. We understand that you may not have all your pages up yet.

To further assist new customers in getting started with Bento, we also offer a demo with our founder, Jesse.

This allows businesses to learn more about how the platform works and how it can best be used to meet their specific needs. Often, after meeting face to face, we will approve you straight away.

If you're unhappy with this process, please cancel your subscription via the billing page.
