Account Structure
Learn this key terminology to get the most out of Bento.
Users
Users are the people who log in to Bento. These are your team members: the people who build campaigns, edit flows, and view reports.
A User has access to a Team and all Sites within that team.
IMPORTANT: A user's API key gives access to all the teams (and sites) they have access to. If a user is removed from the team, their API keys will no longer work. Keep this in mind when integrating Bento.
Team
A Team is a group of users who share access to the same account. It's where you invite colleagues and control who can see your sites.
A Team can have many Sites (currently limited to 10 per team).
Site
A Site is a single project or brand. Each site has its own subscribers, campaigns, and settings, so you can run multiple brands or projects from one Bento account without mixing their data.
A Site has many Visitors.
People
Also known as visitors, subscribers, customers, unsubscribers, etc.
People are the individuals who interact with your website or application and are tracked by Bento. These are your subscribers, customers, and leads. Bento collects data on them so you can segment them, send targeted campaigns, and analyze their behavior.
Don't confuse People with Users:
- Users are your team members who log in to Bento.
- People are the subscribers and customers you track and email.
A Visitor has many:
Events, Tags, Emails, etc.
