Teams
A Team is your account in Bento. It's the top-level container that holds your sites, manages billing, and controls who has access to your data.
What is a Team?
When you sign up for Bento, you create a Team. Think of it as your organization or company within Bento. Everything else lives inside your Team.
A Team controls:
- Sites: The individual projects or brands you manage
- Billing: Your subscription and payment details
- Team Members: Who can access and work within your account
Team Members
Team members are the people who have access to your Bento account. These are your colleagues, employees, or collaborators who need to manage campaigns, view analytics, or work with your subscriber data.
Each team member has their own login and can access all Sites within the Team.
Bento does not charge for team seats. Invite your entire team at no extra cost.
API Keys and Access
Each user in your Team has their own API keys. These keys provide access to all Teams and Sites that user belongs to.
A user's API key gives access to all the teams (and sites) they have access to. If a user is removed from the team, their API keys will no longer work. Keep this in mind when integrating Bento.
When setting up integrations, consider using a dedicated service account or the team owner's API keys for production integrations. This prevents disruption if individual team members leave.
Teams and Sites
A Team can have multiple Sites. Each Site is a separate workspace with its own subscribers, campaigns, and settings. This lets you manage multiple brands or projects from one Bento account.
Currently, Teams are limited to 10 Sites. If you need more, contact support.
Managing Your Team
From your Team settings, you can:
- Invite new team members via email
- Remove team members who no longer need access
- Update billing and payment information
- View and manage all Sites in your Team
How Teams Connect to Other Concepts
Teams sit at the top of the hierarchy:
- Sites belong to Teams
- People, Events, Tags, and everything else lives within Sites
- Team members can access all Sites within their Team
