Tracking custom events

For most users, Bento is more or less good to go out of the box, but if you want to configure it in a unique way for your business then you totally can.

Setting up in Bento’s app

We’ve added a few settings inside Bento’s web app that can help you track additional events.
Most of these can be found under “Power Ups” in the navigation. Everything from tracking frustration events, clicks and so much more is just a toggle switch away.

Firing events using JS

Once you’ve setup Bento via the web app, you can now go back to your website and add in custom JS events that fire off when people complete certain actions.
bento.track("Some Action", {some_key: "Some Value"});
Or add custom fields to a visitor using:
bento.updateFields({"first_name": "ash", "last_name": "ketchum", "favourite_food": "bento box"});
Any questions, don't hesitate to send us a message. We’re looking to extend our API and our libraries this year, but can push it up the priority queue the more demand we hear.
